Research Garage Group is looking for an experienced and reliable HGV Class 2 Driver to join our team at our Nuneaton operation.

This is an exciting opportunity to become an important part of a well-established, growing automotive business. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient collection and delivery of vehicles, parts and equipment between our sites, customers and suppliers across the Midlands.

We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, understands the importance of customer service and represents the Research Garage Group professionally at all times.

The Role

As our HGV Class 2 Driver, your responsibilities will include:

• Driving HGV Class 2 vehicles safely and responsibly.
• Collecting and delivering vehicles, parts and equipment between Research Garage Group sites, suppliers and customers.
• Carrying out vehicle collections and deliveries across the Midlands and surrounding areas.
• Ensuring all loads are secure and transported safely.
• Completing daily vehicle checks and reporting any defects or issues.
• Completing delivery and collection paperwork accurately.
• Maintaining accurate records in line with legal and company requirements.
• Ensuring vehicles are kept clean and presented to a high standard.
• Providing a professional and friendly service when dealing with customers and suppliers.
• Working closely with our Transport, Sales, Aftersales and Vehicle Preparation teams.
• Adhering to all relevant drivers’ hours, tachograph and transport legislation.
• Carrying out other reasonable driving and transport duties as required.

About You

We’re looking for a professional driver who is:

• The holder of a full UK HGV Class 2 / Category C licence.
• In possession of a valid Driver CPC qualification.
• In possession of a valid Digital Tachograph Driver Card.
• Experienced in HGV Class 2 driving.
• Reliable, punctual and well organised.
• Safety conscious with a professional approach to driving.
• Comfortable dealing with customers and members of the public.
• Able to work independently and manage their own time effectively.
• Flexible and willing to support the wider business when required.
• A good communicator with a positive attitude.
• Someone who takes pride in representing the company.

Previous experience within the automotive, vehicle logistics or dealership environment would be advantageous, although not essential.
